the weekend

We've seen so many beautiful sunsets driving back from concerts.
All the peace and quiet and the divine calm landscapes.

This was behind the place where we were performing last Saturday.
I was super tempted to go for a swim.
That would have been the perfect way to prepare for a gig.

Our guitarist's cup of coffee.
Super important.
There was this sailing/sailor-y museum there as well.
It was awesome.
And super pretty.

And I also decided since we were right next to the seaside, I absolutely HAD to have a big feather in my hair.
I love feathers.
Water and caffeine. And the dress I mixed and matched for this tour.
This was Sunday. Another full house.

Saturday soundcheck.
Fishing nets.
Actually, driving back on Sunday I was thinking about this.
About moving out of the city.
It just, I don't know. The guitarist flew back to the island, where he lives.
And we drove back to the middle of the city.

Hotel on Saturday.
I watched mindless TV till 5am.
I don't gel well with places I don't know, in terms of sleeping.

Weekend in some visuals.

With love.

aujourd'hui

Today.

Oh, today.
What shall we do with you.

I mean, either I'm weird, or this is some sunshine disorder, or whatever.
Yesterday I was so full of everything, life and energy and desire to do stuff, mainly.
None of which is here today.
And neither is the sunshine.

Actually, the sun was so lush yesterday, I caught a bit of a face-tan.
I mean, mega.

But today is not yesterday.
Today is gray and real quiet, and a little somber.
A somber Friday.
I do have quite a lot to do, but somber-ness and me don't make for a very good working combo.
Besides, Place beyond the pines (yesterday) really put me in a little hole.
I think I'm partially still in it.

But no, today has potential to be very very excellent indeed.
So let's turn this around, very soon, and properly.

I think this is the biggest thing that has changed.
I used to think that I can't and therefore didn't want to change my "bad" days.
But that is so different now.
I don't enjoy this anymore, at all.

Which means I have a choice.

And today, I choose to have a "good" day. No, really, a good day.
And see the people who want to see me, and I want to see.
Do the things I need to do.
Do the things I can do, and want to do.
And live a little you know.

I choose.

strong is the new "skinny"

(After this post I promise to go off the whole subject for a while.)

This is a good tagline. A great tagline, actually.
One that I have a lot of respect for and one that is worth spreading.
This saying, turns out, is the motto of the "tumblr fitness community" - people who blog about healthy living or their journey towards a healthier lifestyle. Most of these women are from the States.

Regardless whether the problem is over-weight, under-weight, or just body-image - it's just a waste of time really.
Go healthy, you know.
It's the easiest way to feel good about whatever skin or skeleton you're in.
Whatever the length, width or shape.
Go healthy.
I mean, this is as much to me, as it is to anyone else.

I wrote a post some days ago about positive role-models and kind of ended up moaning about the lack of flag-flyers for "healthy" when it comes to discussing this topic.
Turns out there's a whole load of people who blog about healthy living, and everything that it encompasses.
Go them, and go healthy living.

(I chose these few because of a) her transformation; b) motivational pictures (i have to admit - my personal favourites) and great tips; c) good recipes.)

If there are only two choices: healthy, and unhealthy.

PS. I really feel like kickboxing would be a very fantastic addition to my existence.
