light

I passed you on a Sunday,
like I had countless

countless
countless times before.
I passed you where the walls melt,
and the daisies bend their heads.
I passed you in the sunshine,
almost touched your hand.

I passed you in the rain
and your light touched mine,
in all its glory

and the spectrum.
I passed you,
and I passed you again.

Drink it.

unexpected friend

Hello, sunshine!
You unexpected friend!

This situation of course presents an interesting change in things.
Sunshine just does this, y'know.

I just got home, and now I've devised the perfect - and I mean, the perfect - set up.
The best one I've discovered living here so far. And that's been 4 years.

I carried the rocking chair to my room, to face the window.
I have my cup of tea and the cat at arms length.
And I'm watching the Biggest Loser with the big speakers attached.
I mean.
Yes.

I haven't had a home day in so so so so so so so long.
I would like to do some laundry, and cut my hair.
And just listen to MY music, real loud.
Real loud.

So here I am.
In my black trakkies, in the rocking chair.
I need to do some work stuff, and I'll see E. later.

PS, judging by that photo I should clean the mirror as well.

Happy Saturday, guys.

aujourd'hui

Today.

Oh, today.
What shall we do with you.

I mean, either I'm weird, or this is some sunshine disorder, or whatever.
Yesterday I was so full of everything, life and energy and desire to do stuff, mainly.
None of which is here today.
And neither is the sunshine.

Actually, the sun was so lush yesterday, I caught a bit of a face-tan.
I mean, mega.

But today is not yesterday.
Today is gray and real quiet, and a little somber.
A somber Friday.
I do have quite a lot to do, but somber-ness and me don't make for a very good working combo.
Besides, Place beyond the pines (yesterday) really put me in a little hole.
I think I'm partially still in it.

But no, today has potential to be very very excellent indeed.
So let's turn this around, very soon, and properly.

I think this is the biggest thing that has changed.
I used to think that I can't and therefore didn't want to change my "bad" days.
But that is so different now.
I don't enjoy this anymore, at all.

Which means I have a choice.

And today, I choose to have a "good" day. No, really, a good day.
And see the people who want to see me, and I want to see.
Do the things I need to do.
Do the things I can do, and want to do.
And live a little you know.

I choose.

picnic

On Saturday, we had a picnic outdoors.
Me, dad and the Mrs.
We got some pizza, and a thermos with green tea/Earl Grey infusion.
And it was sunny and over-all a lovely idea.

We had two pizzas: one with added blue cheese and pineapple which is like my childhood favourite. And then one with all the spicy stuff.

Also, I've never really been on a nice sunny skiing holiday and this just felt so so much like a fit time at some after-ski place. So I suddenly found myself battling serious feelings about having a ski trip.

Seriously. Yay, for winter picnics.

Have a winter picnic.

spring

Happy spring, guys!
1st of April always marks the actual arrival for me.
Even if the weather this year is really not communicating spring in any way, 1st of April means business.

And so, my sweets, I wish you a super 1st of April.
I hope you get nice jokes and pranks, that include getting chocolates, or compliments, or surprises.

Spring is coming, ride the wave, trust the process.

Peace and love.

spring

Spring is coming, it's official.
The sun was so hot yesterday. And it's sunny again today.

I might actually go to town today, and stare some sunshine in the face (..ps, I did do that, and it was so nice. The pretty one came and picked me up, and we had some pasta in sunny sunny Vapiano.)

Crazy what sunshine does.

Embrace the rays.

With love.

PS. I JUST CAN'T WAIT :)

Tuesday, September 4

going, going, gone

I saw the MOST AMAZING thing yesterday.

I was flying home from Stockholm, and we were already flying across Estonia, when we got to some clouds. They were beautiful, some light, some rainy ones.
I looked down and I saw one of the best things I had ever seen in my life.

The sun must have been directly above the plane, because when I looked down I saw a perfect plane-shaped shadow. But the real amazing thing was - the sun was shining onto a rainy cloud, and therefore the plane shadow was surrounded by a perfectly spherical rainbow. And it moved with us. The shadow, and the spherical rainbow.
Perfect and round. It was just extraordinary.

I made a drawing of it, in Paint. Just to explain it a little better. I mean, it truly was, one of the best things I have ever seen. I think it almost felt like magic. And I felt like I was 5. And that too was a little, tiny tiny tiny little bit like magic.

(oh heavens, i LOVE Paint.)

Estonia looked so powerful.
Flat, stable. Really strong in its flatness, this ongoing strength. Just geographical royalty almost. So balanced. And humble. And so beautiful in all its quiet wisdom.
And you can really see it from above, that the land is still allowed to breath, and feel. Humans have not broken and torn the land, the look of the land.
It still feels something, really on its own accord. And that really was quite something. Just so pure. Seeing that.

Things happening, allowing things to happen. quite on their own.

Autumn's coming. I really looked forward to the last one, but not this one. This one is different. Summer's gone too quick and I'm not ready for the cold. And stuff dying. I would rather not. And I'm not really one of those people who can just enjoy the lovely aesthetic of autumn and the leaves and go "Aww". It is beautiful, but just not it.
Summer's over.

But spring will come soon. As it always does.

A's flat is lovely.
I want to nest.
I really do. So much.

Love, M.
