Thursday, November 14

home

You can have the home you want.
Even if you're technically not a million miles away from civilisation.
You can still have the life, the atmosphere.

I saw it today.
Went to a rehearsal.
The guitarist who's summerhouse I was at for a while, this August.
And today we had a rehearsal at his house, technically in Tallinn.
But to the quieter, seaside suburb.

And Jesus wept, what a house.
The same atmosphere as in the summer house.

That's what I want.
I'd never seen anything like that.
That sort of atmosphere, not somewhere far far far away.

Magic.

Yours truly.

Everests

So, A. and I spoke about this thing, a long long time ago.
The idea of Everests.

Personal Everests.
And the fear of them.
And then I felt this question - when was the last time I climbed an Everest?

So, therefore.

It's time to climb the Everests.
All of them.
One at a time.
But it's time for the Everests.
And climb them we shall.

End of 2013.
There's still some time to go.
Time to do things.
Not loads, but there's time.
Time to be productive, time for things, and Everests.

Time to focus on what's important.
Ourselves.
Our family.
Our friends.
The people we want to communicate with.

He is able, who THINKS he is able.
And she who thinks she will climb her Everests, shall climb her Everests.

Today was a great day.
Listened to a great lesson, with a teacher I really really like.
So this is SUPER exciting.
Then went to the cinema with the Spaniard to watch a MUSE CONCERT.
Which was INCREDIBLE.
So intense days.
Crazy good, but intense days.

So now I'm going to try and get to sleep.
A rehearsal tomorrow.
And some lovely meetings.

Everests.
This is what I'm leaving you with.
E

RESTS

Think about them.
And be brave enough to go for the climb.

With love and light.

An Invitation.

Come, winter - rip us all bare.
Past the hot veins, and tear the cosy flesh.
Freeze us, entirely, claw down to the bone.
Remove the impatient muscle.
Watch the name
the title

the numbers
and the figures
tumble away,
fly off

(like they never were)
become one with the white.

Just leave the core.

So we can mingle, touch each other past the pretense.
Press curious tongues against the icy void,
The heart of the bone.

Let the wind rage through - cold and impersonal -
As we stand, (un)moved, ready to confess.
Let it coil its way around my ever-fragile skeleton,
And caress my truth as I uncover yours.

No warmth, no heat.
No lies.

All unravelling, together, in near-perfect sync,
Faced with what we are.

The storms will start fuelling a different kind of fire.
Barren, bare, raw.
But true.

Come, winter.
Please.
Rip us all
bare.

Game of Thrones

I am so in love with Game of Thrones.

Seriously.
My warrior soul is screeching.

Game.

Monday, April 8

picnic

On Saturday, we had a picnic outdoors.
Me, dad and the Mrs.
We got some pizza, and a thermos with green tea/Earl Grey infusion.
And it was sunny and over-all a lovely idea.

We had two pizzas: one with added blue cheese and pineapple which is like my childhood favourite. And then one with all the spicy stuff.

Also, I've never really been on a nice sunny skiing holiday and this just felt so so much like a fit time at some after-ski place. So I suddenly found myself battling serious feelings about having a ski trip.

Seriously. Yay, for winter picnics.

Have a winter picnic.

Saturday, March 23

today

And today my lighter brown hair with ginger ends is going!
I'm going to the Spaniards now to dye some hair. I'll do hers, she'll do mine.

And the ginger ends will be no longer.
Not till summer at least.
I need some contrast around my face.

Somehow this makes me feel like I'm battling the elongated winter better.
We shall see in a few hours - fingers crossed I'll emerge a new warrior lol-cat wolf.

Have a happy Saturday!

Monday, March 4

for now

This is the only photo I have of the birthday proceedings, for now.
So I'm just going to say, this was excellent.
A's still here and I'm seeing her off today, as she flies back to STHLM. (And I'm following on Saturday.)

I hope you had a good weekend, sweets.

With love.
The 24-year-old.

Tuesday, February 26

my visuals

So far, so good.
These are just a few photos from the past few days.

Sunday was the Estonian Independence Day so a big national celebration here. And so me, and dad+Mrs went to see the flag raised at sunrise (7:33am) and then because I am just so full of good ideas we ended up going for breakfast at like, just before 8am. Pancakes, juice and coffee. And had some really lovely chats.

And then today, because it was sunny, I wore sunglasses (E. reminded me of this option. And that suited me juuuuuuuuuuuuuust fine.)

(And there's two more pictures from Sunday. One is this fit chocolate cake I made, that had our "Tall Hermann" tower on it. So proud of my artistic flare, a la mothertrucking icing sugar. And I loved mum's table setting colours so papped that too.)

Visuals.

Sunday, January 27

spring

So.
Reasons I will miss London LOADS.
It's currently the 27th of January, and it is +10C outside. And it's sunny.
I mean, seriously?
Back home, we'll have to wait till like, April for this?
End of March, if we're lucky.

But then again, May at home is magical. And I've been moaning about this for about 4 years that I'm not at home during this great great month. And I will be this year.

Pros and cons.
And 10C.

London.
M.
Here's some spring pizza for you, and spring flowers.

my Nordic heart

Wednesday, December 12

inner view

INTERVIEW.
The word.
You know?

That's what it's meant to be. An inner view of someone, a view into the person.
And I think I spent 3,5 hours today giving the most honest (or at least the most "true to myself") interview of my life today.
(And I have had I mean, not like, loads, but plenty of them in my life.)

And it was just so honest with myself I guess.
I don't even know. I think I'll understand why it meant something to me but later on.
For now I'm pleased with how it went, since I was stressing about it last night to E. And it was great!

And now I'm playing a great game (http://wellgames.com/free_online/fitz/). I love this thing.
Just had a carrot, and might make some tea.
First rehearsal for the tour tomorrow.
Exciting times, and good times, and most of all, interesting times.

Wintertime.

STHLM

I'll make this really brief, cause my battery's dying.
Codewords.
-8C, and Converse.
Matching H&M dresses.
Hot chocolate with mini-cinnamon buns.
Glögg. (Disclaimer, if you don't know what this is, please find out. It's great.)
Wintery walk around Boo. Yes, BOO.
Christmas movies and 4 hours of "uninterrupted Christmas music".
And reminiscing about previous travels.
And planning future ones.
Staring at semi-bearded fit Swedish Viking men, with their dogs, and/or without.
Planning a gingerbread house.
Watching children shovel snow.
Watching snow, fall and do other things.
Laughing at snow, pointing at snow.
Snow.
Snow.
Snow.
Listening to Nickelback. Yes, Nickleback.
Leaving the door open, cause why not.
Red and white Christmas stuff.
Using the hob to boil water/heat milk.
Having coffee first thing in the morning.
Raving to party beats, at inappropriate times.
Wearing Christmas jumpers.

Vol.1 of the STHLM Christmas list.
And now my laptop said it's dying, officially.
So I'm gonna have to carry on later.
Oh, and I'm taking Christmassy photos.

CHRISTMAS IN THE NORDIC SPHERE.
