CHEERFUL

Whatever at all this moaning.
Jesus, girl, SHUT UP.

Concert number 5 was another sell-out.
And it was such a nice evening.
Then I came home to an awesome sunset.

Then walked to the foodshop, with Lana blasting away in my ear-holes. And bought some soy-everything and milk for the cat.
Oh and some rice-milk drink thing - which is SO DELICIOUS.
So here I am.

Here's one for cheerful.

Cat-milk.

nighttime

I completed my Wednesday to-do list!
I did all of that.
And that's pretty sweet.

Then went to stay with the Other Pisces, with the Spanish one. She lives 40 minutes out of Tallinn and it was absolutely more divine than I-lack-the-word.
We got there just in time for sunset, watched the sun go down down down on a beach. Then ate some smoked fish and watermelon and ice-cream, and then chatted about life and the universe. And got tucked into our mega-snug beds.

Morning time brought breakfast and sunbathing and more chats about life.
The energy is so good with those two - good to chat spiritual stuff. I don't think I've ever had that. So my gratitude goes out to the Universe. Muchos gracias.

And back to the capital I came, riding on a jolly yellow bus.
Did a soundcheck, saw a dance-puppet piece with E. (which was pretty super), had a rehearsal and sorted some other stuff for the Scaffolding gig (which is in TWO days?!).
AND I borrowed a bike from the pretty one and rode that home which made me happier than a pup with two tails.

Over-all, busy-Maria.
And I cannot wait to get away again.

With love.

Earth Day

Yesterday was Earth Day, and I walked my little balls off.
No, like, really.
I walked a crazy amount yesterday.

In town, with some pastry, for a while.
Then kind of, late afternoon, for a long time. I walked into town, from home, took like an hour and a bit.
And then more just before going to bed.
A lot of walking.

But it was super nice, and very therapeutic. Me and Peter Gabriel had a marvellous time.
I mean, really.
Next time I have anything to solve, at all, or release or just get over, that is what I need to do.
Have comfy footwear, have Peter Gabriel in my little earholes and walk, walk, walk.
Besides, the weather was divine.
And the sun was setting.

And I enjoy finding unexpected places or see something really beautiful, or just striking.
This photo does not do it justice, but this sunset was amazing.
Even though it's some crappy parking lot that I have never even properly looked at.

Perpetual quest for balance.
I've always said this, always, for yeeears. And that has always been the thing.
And now I was dealt a superb card to test everything that I think I know.

But spring is here.
And beauty is all over the place.

So go explore.

Wednesday, March 27

sun

There's just this super ghetto looking lot of nothing behind our apartment block.
But it gets real pretty sunsets and sunrises.

So I'm super pleased they are yet to fill it with all-sorts of buildings, but for now, it just is.

Sunsets.

3.47

3 hours and 47 minutes.
Concert number 12.
Once that's completed we can officially say we're over the half-way mark.

We're stopping at my aunties big yellow summer house for a day. I stayed there for summers on end when I was a child. It has now become one of those memories that's best described or felt through a smell, or I remember it as a smell. A smell of, pinetrees, and water, and pastries, and sand, more importantly sandy summery footwear, and creaky stairs, and somewhat dusty mattresses. And tea too, but fresh peppermint. What a smell, eh.
Those were really really good, old-fashioned, honest childhood summers.
There are still berries EVERYWHERE behind the house. Marvellous.
And I get to be there for a night. And swim morning-evening-morning before we drive back. And there's a nice little food place on the highstreet.
Two weeks ago the old neighbour heard I was staying for a bit and came along to say hi, with a big pot of fresh honey.

Maybe I should move, or at least spend more time away from Tallinn during the summer. Tallinn is brilliant and it's my city through and through, but during the summer it seems like everyone else is having more fun. Wrong choice of word maybe. Not fun necessarily, but, more at ease? And kind of allowing themselves to enjoy sunshine and notice the fact that everything is green, and lush. Maybe because there's so much more greenery when you leave Tallinn.

Well, whatever it is, there is this peace in the countryside.

Into the blue, and green, and pink, and golden,M.
