thurs

Hey, sweets!!

Yesterday I did some work things I had been postponing and it was fine, no angst no nothing!
So I really really am so pleased about this.

Had some awesome vegan lunch and then went to see the newest arrival of our female army.
MY BABY GOT HER BABY!
So I'm paying both of them a visit again today, this time, armed with sushi.

And I'm gonna carry on doing the work things, a little here, a little there.
No BIG mountains of work to climb, no hundred emails at a time, no hundred thoughts at a time.
Just, a little at a time.

Also, as I was walking yesterday to Bébé-ville, I realised how much time I truly spend just thinking about work things.
And how counter-productive this is.
As opposed to think about it, and then feel tired when I actually start doing the work, I should learn how to really switch off, and then when I work, I work.
True, this "work" of mine is my true true passion. But still, come on, enough is enough.

So that's what I got to yesterday.
Today the skies are grey but I'm pretty peaceful.
My sleep and dreams are calm lately so this helps a ton.

So - half of the week gone.
The week of sorting unfinished business.
Am I actually doing it?
Kind of, but should make more of this, I'll feel better after.

Peace out.
Love, always.M.

town

Yesterday and today was for town.

Yesterday I went central and walked about for a bit. Spent significant time in Waterstone's, the book store, and then in HMV browsing the classical music section. And got an item from each place.
Then I met AEM and we went to see Midnight Tango, which is the second time I've seen this show (in addition to watching it on the DVD which I bought immediately after visit number 1) and it just keeps getting better. We saw this show a year ago, which might as well be 700 years. I remember what I was like, watching that show a year ago, and I'm so much happier now, and things are just going in a good direction. One year. That's all.
Then we made our way back home and had hot chocolate.

Today got the train in and went to Barbican (which is the largest culture centre in Europe and therefore kicks butt, so hard) to meet a dear friend, who I really don't see enough of. We had coffee and good chats. She's one of the people who is just so nice for my soul, can't explain it any other way. Just so so nice in my soul, and for my soul.

2 days of town, and I've got 2 conclusions.
1) London is a glorious, glorious, glorious city of the world. Just glorious.
2) I'm so happy I'm moving and getting a much much much needed change of pace.

So both things are correct, and good in different ways.
I've got a week left to enjoy this marvel of a place and then I get to go Home.

Good thoughts.

hat and snow day!

So I always find that after I've changed my hair, either cut it or dyed it, I wake up the next day thinking "is this ACTUALLY nice?"
Especially the times when I've done it myself.
Like yesterday.
So this morning was one of those.

But luckily I'm still pleased with having a whole bunch of hair in the bin and not on my head anymore.
Also, can I just say, the joy that I feel for being able to have some of my hair in front of my face is unbelievable.

It's snowing fairly decent amounts today. And because it's -2 the snow is actually staying with us.
And therefore I've declared today a snow-day!
And a hat-day!

Happy Hat and Snow Day.
