I feel this truly is one of the purest forms of joy.
Cake.
M.
This was with E.
She didn't have cake tho.
Otherwise it would have been DOUBLE-cake-joy.

photos
This is going to be a ridiculous post, by the way.
I think E is uploading the pictures of the weekend madness tomorrow, but for now I'm going to forward to you my birthday in food.
Okay, so numero 1, A and I made Eggs Benedict (a hands-down favourite of mine, A's, AEM's and just our banterous breakfast from my LDN times) on Saturday morning, because we are awesome chefs. Egg on egg anyone? Thanks.
Numero 2, a little later on Saturday, A and I went to this awesome cosy Chocolaterie in the Old Town in Tallinn with my parents. We shared many many chocolate treats and this was my slab of cake. Milk chocolate mousse with a cream cheese layer and cherry jam-ish stuff. And it was divine. Not to sweet. Kicked butt.
And numero 3, is the pasta we demolished to put the world right again on Monday, with the pretty one, just before A's flight. We went to Vapiano (again a shared favourite of all three). My one on the left is chicken, orange-chilli sauce and pak choi, JESUS I've had it so many times and it doesn't get old. And A had her sausage and fig thing.
Nom-nom.
Eat well.

STHLM pictures, as promised

A's future husband. We went out for dinner, and saw this guy, bearded, beanie hat. Holding a baby on one arm. We died. So therefore, this guy in the middle could do the same thing. He's allowed. |

Indoor market in Stockholm. Pastry. I heart pastry. |

Textbook A+M situation/Chaos and Mayhem adventure = 3AM in Macdo. The people, and I mean the circus - one of the best I've ever seen. You get a point, youths of Stockholm. |

Bag of coated nuts (omg the variety), and tea. Location: A's floor. White, wooden. No carpet! |

Same indoor market, wintery festive cheeses. My favourite is the snowman one. |

Just some pretty lights. |

Oh, and we tried on the same dress, different colours. Potentially for New Years. It still might be on the cards. |

All red. Before heading to the airport. |

TALLINNNNN. |
Wednesday, October 3
would you stay, just a little?
"what we think, we become."
so let's think good, kids
Today's been a busy one. And tomorrow will be nice.
I need to finish some stuff. But I'll plough.
It's boring to be nice. It's nice to be nice. And it's nice to be boring at the moment.
I think I should start saying goodbye to Tallinn. I'm flying on Sunday. That's 5 nights and 4 and a half days. (Who's keeping count.)
I think that's just short of the time I'll need to say goodbye.
This is going to be so hard, I'm quivering already.
Pizza tomorrow, at E's new place. Pizza and cold cans of Coke, from her fridge, in her place.
I'm so so happy for her, just so happy about all of this.
Of course, this has fuelled my own burning desire for a place. A box. Maria's box. Maria's little box. To be honest, this must be getting boring already - considering I whine about this quite often.
But not to fear, these cogs will start turning soon.
And I'll be writing about my fridge, and my place.
We celebrated today. With some champers and cake. I think most things in life, regardless of the tonality or particular shading, should really be celebrated with cake and champagne.
Back to London.
This is the first time in 7 YEARS (that's SEVEN YEARS) that I've been in Tallinn this far into autumn. 3rd of October. This hasn't happened in 7 years.
I don't really even know what to think about it.
I'm still working towards understanding why I don't think this one is the "ideal world" I keep talking about. I'll figure it out, and start doing all the things I say I'd do.
And it will be fun.
give in to me

buena vista
Elämä on laiffi. Those who don't know or understand this saying, if you have a spare second, google it.
Disclaimer; written in retrospective. This is a fairly meaningless post. Because my head is jumbled.
It's sunny today. And we're singing outside. It kinda feels like I made a deal with the Devil or something, because every time we're outdoors the clouds leave. Just leave. Go home. I love it. A good outdoor concert is just so good. (Another disclaimer. Considering Estonian weather, this truly is not much short of a miracle.)
Gentlemen, HVAR AWAITS!
I'm leaving for Helsinki in a week, to fly to Split on Monday. The weather forecast awaits below. (Disclaimer #3; I seem to be very fond of the word "awaits".)
So. The other day I baked blueberry tartlets.
Baking. fixes. everything.
At least with me. I like how precise it is, and of course, the outcome. I'll post some pictures of said tartlets later. They looked fit.
So.
Whoever you are, and if and when you happen to read this post,
All I can say to end it is,
the Devil still doesn't play fair, M.
