And my happy food shop.

Found these old shots from LDN, but they are just so happy.

Yums.

town

Yesterday and today was for town.

Yesterday I went central and walked about for a bit. Spent significant time in Waterstone's, the book store, and then in HMV browsing the classical music section. And got an item from each place.
Then I met AEM and we went to see Midnight Tango, which is the second time I've seen this show (in addition to watching it on the DVD which I bought immediately after visit number 1) and it just keeps getting better. We saw this show a year ago, which might as well be 700 years. I remember what I was like, watching that show a year ago, and I'm so much happier now, and things are just going in a good direction. One year. That's all.
Then we made our way back home and had hot chocolate.

Today got the train in and went to Barbican (which is the largest culture centre in Europe and therefore kicks butt, so hard) to meet a dear friend, who I really don't see enough of. We had coffee and good chats. She's one of the people who is just so nice for my soul, can't explain it any other way. Just so so nice in my soul, and for my soul.

2 days of town, and I've got 2 conclusions.
1) London is a glorious, glorious, glorious city of the world. Just glorious.
2) I'm so happy I'm moving and getting a much much much needed change of pace.

So both things are correct, and good in different ways.
I've got a week left to enjoy this marvel of a place and then I get to go Home.

Good thoughts.

miss

I will miss my life here so much.
I will miss the people.
I will miss AEM so much it feels like I'm going to crack a rib.

I will miss.

But life is all about choices, and I'm making mine.

spring

So.
Reasons I will miss London LOADS.
It's currently the 27th of January, and it is +10C outside. And it's sunny.
I mean, seriously?
Back home, we'll have to wait till like, April for this?
End of March, if we're lucky.

But then again, May at home is magical. And I've been moaning about this for about 4 years that I'm not at home during this great great month. And I will be this year.

Pros and cons.
And 10C.

London.

Here's some spring pizza for you, and spring flowers.

Maria's day out

Yesterday.
It was lovely to be out and about. Seriously lovely.
AJ and I went for some lunch in Vapiano, which is my fave in Tallinn, Stockholm and London. And then for some tea and cake.
I got a new mascara which I've been meaning to do for about, 2-3 weeks. It's a Rimmel one so all new for me. It's meant to be "extremely black" so we'll see.

Town was nice, nice and wintery. But it just reminded me why I want to move. The actual mass of people just tired me out so much. The pace, and the noise, and the amount of people.
I bumped into one of my mates from school right outside Oxford Circus station, which is actually like a needle in a very large haystack.
So pros and cons, you know. Seeing him just reminded me how many people I know in this city that I haven't seen in so so long, but then the place itself has kind of lost its magic for me. For now.

I have an actual to-do list today.
And I plan to do all those things, with the help of AC/DC.

Hooray for to-do-lists.

flowers

Good morning!

Hardly moring, but oh well. My porridge, Classic FM and I are having a great time.

And today I'm going to (London-)town with AJ, for some tea at this place (http://www.camelliasteahouse.com/) and a little snowy walk in town.
I've spent way too much time indoors with boxes.

Last night was gamenight. We played 3 games of "Reis ümber maailma" which means "Trip around the world". And it was brilliant.

The other day I had flowers in my hair, and had the most fun-inducing pony-tail.

I hope you're having a good day.
And if you can - play in some snow.

With love.

LDN

Yesterday was spent under the flag of getting here and then sitting. Quite literally, sitting.
I did start my packing - woo, look at me, not procrastinating! I give myself a point.

Today AEM and I went into town to meet one of his friends. Had some lunch, and then walked about for a bit, ending up in the Ice-cream parlour at Harrods. Yes, please. Had 2 scoops of ice-cream (can I just say, I LOVE ICE-CREAM) - one was orange-carrot-lemon (ish? it was delicious anyway) and chocolate and cookies. Yes, please x 10000000
Now I'm home cooking, and then some more packing.
I started making my "Goodbye, London" list today. You know, I was thinking about it the other day. That it was like not so long ago when I posted about thinking of moving and now it's actually happening. And I can't really believe it.
I mean, I'm very excited because this is so the right thing for me right now. Having said this, I'm so scared. I shall get over it, and embrace the excitement. And rinse this month dryyyyyyyy

And this is just soooo fitting with January being for "JUST DO IT". (More about this later)

All my love.

today

Today was useful.
I got some stuff sorted, respectfully sent off our Christmas tree, and then ended up and the gym (of course) with E., and our session ended with the saunas and pools. Yay!
So I fly tomorrow. At 1.30pm, my flight leaves for LDN. And so I'm currently packing.
I would really like to squeeze in a mini-session tomorrow morning, just to get my pulse up and gimme energy for the flight. And I really want to pop into this place before the airport as well - they do an awesome selection of nuts and allsorts of like, nuts in yoghurt, and almonds in this and that, and clusters of unicorn dust or something, point is - everything.
Oh, and also! I found this man who offers a moving service, from LDN to either HEL(sinki) or TLN. I contacted him and I think we are gonna strike a sweet deal between the two of us. Yay for this! I mean, "Yay!" is such an understatement. This is like, so sweet if it happens. Fingers crossed, please!

So now I'm sat here, on my bed, watching another James Bond. Some Finnish channel showed James Bond movies really really late on Christmas eve, for years on end. And as my parents had gone to bed and I was so excited about my presents, I'd stay up and watch Bond. And to this day, every time the festive season comes round I feel like watching Bond. And now I'm working my way through them. I've got to "The Spy Who Loved Me" (1977).
I'm gonna dry my hair, handwash some stuff for tomorrow (don't have a tumble-dryer in TLN), then make some tea probs, pack (my packing list is genuinely like, laptop, phone, and jeans), and that's that.

TLN-LDN.
Lots of love.
M.
